3 Must-Haves To Transform Your Rental Bedroom

It can be frustrating knowing exactly what you want to do with your bedroom but being unable to change anything for fear of breaking your rental agreement. Temporary solutions tend to a lot cheaper and easier to install. Not to mention you happen to be protected if you mess it up or change your mind. Here are 3 must-have products you need to jazz up a boring and bland rental room:

  1. Removable wallpaper
Whether you want a snazzy pattern on your wall or just a change of colour, removable wallpaper is a mess-up-proof way to get whatever style you want without committing to anything permanent. Nowadays, there’s just as much variety available with removable wallpaper as there is with the real stuff. Not only can you revamp your walls and ceilings with removable wallpaper, stick the stuff to anything that needs a quick pop of colour. Wardrobes, shelving or even doors- nothing’s beyond the reach of design now!
  2. Lampshades
You may not be able to change that ugly light that juts out of the ceiling like a pimple- but you are able to hide it! Whether making your own shade is on the table, or it’s a time for a good old shop- there are several ways to cover up any unsightly light easily and affordably. We love large shades that cover every side of the light to give a pretty pattern on the walls when turned on. When it’s time to go, these shades can be easily and quickly removed or swapped out for the previous fixture without much hassle.
  3. Rugs
If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance you’re having to make do with a nice and cold hard floor every morning when you get out of bed. You may think you’re stuck with what you’ve got because you either can’t afford a permanent overhaul right now or you just can’t touch that rented floor. Never fear, rugs to the rescue! Start by looking through the huge variety available on the internet. Whether you’re a fan of toe hugging softness or just want a bit of warm fuzz when you get out of bed in the morning- there’s a cheap and soft rug for you. To cover the entire floor, purchase several and line up against each other- securing with tape. Who needs carpets?
