Summer is far gone, but that good feeling doesn’t have to be. We’re keeping you up to date with the current trends everyone is talking about. Throw out your knick-knacks and ditch the childish look, it’s time to go grown up and embrace a more mature style and we’re here to guide you through it.
You may have noticed autumn florals have been right up there with clothing recently, but now they’ve finally moved onto home décor too! Looking like it’s going to be a popular look the entire autumn, bright and strong floral wallpaper designs, normally on black or dark backgrounds are really setting the cosy feeling up for us. It’s so easy nowadays to just slap a little bit of wallpaper here and a little bit of paint there and wham, you’ve got autumn in a box, or...a room, but you get the idea!
Remember when comparing your living room to something out of the 70s was an insult? Those days are gone, 70s home design is back- and stronger than ever. Alright, maybe not stronger than the actual 70s! The classy and practical straight lines, low lights, essential furniture and bold print pattern wallpaper gel perfectly with modern touches such as sleek or sheer flooring, lighting, or decoration. We’re ever so loyal to our lovely shagg pile rug, and couldn’t be more pleased to see it back in style! Combined with the ever-growing popularity of dark and rich colours, well, let’s just say we’re in a happy place right now. 😉If you’re new to design, black has the added effect of being near impossible to clash with the rest of your home; as long as you make sure to add light or colourful bursts along a room, there’s not much that can go wrong with a splash of black and gold luxury in there!
So, what is your opinion on sofas in the bedroom… yay or nay? If you are thinking about purchasing a sofa for the bedroom, definitely make sure you keep size in mind. Whilst having a sofa in the bedroom is cool, if your sofa is too large it may leave your room looking too cluttered and overpowered by the sofa.
