Why Your Bathroom Looks Messier Than It Is

Why Your Bathroom Looks Messier Than It Is

We all like to take pride in our home but the unfortunate effect of living somewhere is that it can start to look messy with use. The bathroom is a good example of this, it’s often really difficult to keep clean, nevermind organised. But sometimes, even when you’re trying your best to keep it as clean as possible, there are some hidden and sometimes surprising reasons that your bathroom could still be looking worse than it has to. Don’t worry, these are often simple and affordable problems to fix.

This may seem obvious, but a surprising amount of homes often forget about the amount of storage needed in the bathroom and so, end up with not enough. Toothbrushes, towels and makeup are often just shoved into a cupboard to avoid visible mess. Except, it doesn’t always work that well, and having bursting cupboards isn’t the solution to being more organised. Try and look for specific storage solutions for the things you need storing and don’t be afraid of visible storage baskets.

Window sills, sinks and seats can be great places to put things but it’s important to keep a balance. It’s obvious that having too many things lying around makes a room look messy, even if they’re all useful items- so, pop excess clutter into specific storage areas or cupboards. There can also be a problem when there’s too little stuff lying about, this can make even the smallest amount of mess or dirt stand out a mile!
